ntario is home to more than 250,000 lakes and some of the finest cottage country in Canada! A place to swim, fish and play – lakes
and waterfront living provide a place where wonderful family memories are made.
Unfortunately, all isn’t well with Canada’s lakes. With increasing development pressures, increases in population density and resource
use, decreasing wildlife habitat, degrading water quality and a changing climate, it is easy to see that our lakes need help.
The good news is that we can turn things around – we can make our lakes healthy and help keep them that way! It all starts with a healthy
shoreline. Healthy shorelines are not only low maintenance and cost effective, they are also ecologically responsible and stunning.

“Almaguin Highlands is a region full of breath-taking
sights, sparkling lakes and lush forests providing a way of
life that memories can be built from.”
